Progressive Field is truly one of the best baseball only stadiums in the American League. Not just a stadium, Progressive Field represents the City of Cleveland, its people and a tradition of over 100 years of baseball in Cleveland. Built in 1994, Progressive Field was part of Cleveland's "rebirth". Progressive Field along with Gund Arena make up the Gateway Sports and Entertainment complex. This is considered the "crowning jewel" in the city's landscape. Along with a great new place to watch baseball, the complex brought with it an urban development plan which brought in new business and sparked an economic growth in downtown Cleveland.
